The BIG BUG Club Party!

On Saturday 16th June we held the BIG BUG Club Party at Upton Methodist Church from 3 till 5 pm. The idea was that it would be a promotional event to stimulate a bit of interest in our Sunday morning children's group. The aim was to provide a fun-filled afternoon in a Christian context - with party games, high energy action songs(!) and, of course, food!

Nearly 120 children had registered in advance but only actually 52 turned up on the day. Some I'm sure forgot and others may have changed their minds. However the children that we did have had a great time and the smaller number meant the catering was certainly easier. It also meant there was a lot more food to eat!

The afternoon was led by Suzannah and myself, backed up by a FANTASTIC team of people from the Church who worked brilliantly together to make the event the success it was.

All the children left with special BIG BUG Club party bags (thanks a million Katrin!) containing a lollypop, a colour flyer with details of the club and a promotional furry bug (with sticky feet and wobbly eyes!).

The icing on the cake was on the following Sunday morning (the day after the party) when no less than 29 children turned up to Church!!! 80% of them were not our regular members. We were all overjoyed at the response. PRAISE GOD!!!
