Cartoon Champions

Everyone has their favourite cartoon character and at Upton Methodist Church this summer we’re celebrating them all! So if you’re up for some fun and excitement then make sure you get yourself a place at Cartoon Champions.

Cartoon Champions is a Christian-based children's holiday club (for children at school aged 5-11 years old) organised by Upton Methodist Church and led by Nick 'The Vic' and his team. The club will run every morning from Monday 25th to Friday 29th July 2011 from 10 am till 12 noon. It will be a week jam-packed full of craft activities, quizzes, songs, stories, Sooty & Sweep (+ friends) and fun and games (including refreshments).

What you can expect ...

		Get Crafty - A whole host of different craft activities to have a go at!
		Video - Watch a short animated parable each day starring the hilarious Brian, Vincent and Phil and their boss , Sir Barry, who sets them a different task each day. As seen in assembly!
		In The Spotlight - Back by popular demand by all 'fans of the fin', Mark The Shark gives us the low-down on a different cartoon character each day.
		Brian's Biscuit Break - Drinks & yummy homemade biscuits each morning!
		Champions' Challenge - A team game to test your group (with prizes)!
		Songs - All your favourite funky action songs plus the brand new *Cartoon Champions* song to get down to!
		Sooty & Sweep's Stories - Sooty and Sweep (and their mates) will be back again!
		The Messy Bit - Oh yes! We just couldn't do a Holiday Club without it! More challenges - more mess! Enter if you dare!

The week wraps up like we did last year with an extra-special Cartoon Champions service on SATURDAY 30th July
at 5 pm FOR ALL AGES followed of course by a barbecue!

This will be the 9th children’s holiday club that we’ve run and every year proves more popular than the last. For the last few years the club has been fully booked in just TWO OR THREE DAYS! Due to the great popularity of these events, space is limited so PLEASE BOOK IMMEDIATELY to avoid disappointment (priority booking is available to regular members of the BIG BUG Club). Just complete the Registration Form and return it to the school office at Upton Infants or Upton Juniors along with the registration fee. Your registration will be confirmed.

This is the 10th anniversary of our annual children’s holiday club and every year proves more popular than the last. Last year broke all our previous records and the club was fully booked with a waiting list in just A FEW HOURS! Due to the great popularity of these events, space is limited so PLEASE BOOK IMMEDIATELY to avoid disappointment. Booking forms will be distributed in Upton Infant and Upton Junior Schools on Thursday 23rd June. Just complete the Registration Form and return it (the next morning) to the school office at Upton Infants or Upton Juniors along with the registration fee. Your registration will be confirmed.

A plea to parents - please only book a place if your child will be able to attend at least 3 out of the 5 days. We operate on a first come first served basis and there will be a waiting list. In the event of a child being ill during the week or otherwise unable to take their place then that place will be offered to another child on the waiting list.

The week costs £15 per child which includes craft resources, refreshments, free gifts and even the BBQ on Saturday.
