Go M.A.D. 4 was the 4th helping of our popular children's craft and activity workshop (for 5-12 years) organised by the Circuit Youth Team of the Poole & Swanage Methodist Churches. It was hosted once again by Ashley Road Methodist Church and attracted 47 children from Ashley Road, Broadstone, Wareham, the BIG BUG Club & Suzannah's Brownies (Upton) and SPLAT (Lytchett Matravers). We also had a small group of teenagers who were involved in leading workshops and helping with the craft activities.
The running order followed the usual pattern:

Craft activities this year included:
The funny faces were hilarious. Everyone pulled a face and was photographed. The photos were then printed out and customised! Some people wrote the things that they go mad for (Go MAD 4 ...gettit?!) and then we stuck them all on a huge board. It was visually very impressive. The 3 workshops - dance, junk funk and drama - were well-supported and produced some great results which were performed later on in the worship. Everyone got involved and had a go. Lots of parents and other family members came along in the evening and we brought all our activity together in a very lively act of worship. The children seemed to enjoy themselves and I had fun too! Thanks a million to everyone who came and took part and particularly to all the leaders and helpers for making it all happen. I especially want to pay tribute to our young people from the Circuit who came along and worked very hard - you know who you are! Thanks! |
