This summer all the mystery and excitement of
Ancient Egypt was to be found in Upton! What a fantastic week we had at
at
Upton Methodist Church!
was
a children's holiday club (for 5-11 years) organised by Upton Methodist Church
which ran every morning from Monday 24th to Friday 28th July 2006 from 10
am till 12 noon. It was a week packed full of activities, fun and games
(including refreshments) - all with an Egyptian theme.
During the week we followed the gripping story of Joseph - the chap in the Bible with the amazing coloured coat; who had a real gift for interpreting dreams and for getting himself into trouble! Despite all this God is never very far from him and manages to use Joseph's talents to help a lot of people.
We averaged a daily attendance of 88 children which was really impressive. The club was run by a fab team of nearly 30 adults and young people from the Church.

The Joseph Mega-Game which tested the skill and memory of each Pyramid Group. | |

The Messy Bit! Like we could even think of doing a holiday club without it! |
The week wraps up with an extra-special
service
on Sunday 30th July at 10:30 am
for all ages
followed by a barbecue lunch.
