Wow! What a wonderful week we've had together at Rocky's Plaice!
was a Christian-based children's holiday club (for children at school aged 5-11 years old) organised by Upton Methodist Church. The club ran every morning from Monday 26th to Friday 30th July 2010 from 10 am till 12 noon. It was a week jam-packed full of craft activities, quizzes, songs, stories, Sooty & Sweep (+ friends) and fun and games (including refreshments).

Get Crafty - A whole host of different craft activities to have a go at! Everything from windmills to sharks - and 100 different ways of getting creative with an egg box! | |

On the Big Screen - We watched a short video each day with a different story acted out from the Bible! Each episode was set in Rocky's Plaice - "The best fish and chip shop in Little Wigglington By The Sea!" (as Rocky would say). As Rocky and Squish get ready for Chip Shop Church we learnt about the Ascension, Pentecost, Peter and John and the man who couldn't walk, Dorcas and Cornelius. We were also 'treated' to some really corny fish jokes each day. It only gives me more ideas!!! | |

Fries On The Side - Drinks & yummy homemade biscuits each morning! Just don't mention boomerangs to Rona!!! | |

Rocky's Challenge - The daily team game which tested our ability to look and remember! Well done to the three winning groups. | |

Sing It Again - All your favourite funky action songs (plus some new stuff too)! |

Fishy Tales - Sooty and Sweep (and their mates) were back in full effect trying to recreate the Bible stories we've been hearing about - in their own hilarious fashion! |

The Messy Bit - Oh yes! We just couldn't do a Holiday Club without it! More challenges - more messy than ever! Brilliant! This year it featured cold custard, slime, squirty cream and spaghetti hoops! |

Fish of the Day - Mark the Shark made his holiday club debut by introducing an unusual fish every morning - which (kind of) linked in with the theme for each day. Loved by all Fans of the Fin!!! |

by a barbecue!
Can you believe that this was the 9th children’s holiday club that we’ve run. For the last few years the club has been fully booked in just TWO OR THREE DAYS! This year passed all previous expectations and was fully booked (with a full waiting list too) in just a few hours!!!
